Family Confession

Have a time of confession together. If you have hurt or treated a member of your family poorly model for your children asking forgiveness. Instead of offering reasons, state simply you were wrong and ask that family member to forgive you. Allow time for your child to do the same. Pray together thanking Jesus for his forgiveness and pray together for strength to love each other well and continue to forgive one another.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name...

Father God, you are awesome! You are to be loved and respected. You are the Lord of lords and the King of kings. You spoke and everything was made. Your power and ways are perfect and true. They are so much higher than mine. Praise be your Name!

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Jesus, we look forward to the time when you will rule over everything. Everything broken will be fixed and the world will be the way you always wanted it to be. We ask now that your will be done in our lives, in our family, our country and our world.

Give us today our daily bread...

Lord, you know what we need even better than we do.. People don’t live only on bread, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. So, we pray that you will meet our earthly needs, and you will feed us spiritually. Give us your discipline and guidance so we can grow in you.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

God, please forgive us for all the wrong things we have done. Also, we pray that you will help us to forgive others and show them kindness. Just as you have done for us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

We are weak, Lord, but You are strong. When Satan, the evil one, tempts us to do wrong we pray that you will protect us and lead us out of trouble. Help us to see your truth. Watch over us, Jesus. Amen.
