The Disaster Response Team is a team of trained volunteers who desire to serve those in the church and beyond with practical help during a local natural disaster. The team responds with welfare calls and a practical assistance when needed through a coordinated response.
A local natural disaster includes situations such as windstorms, ice and snowstorms, earthquakes, wildfires, etc. that would impact the Portland metro area. The team may also be available to respond and assist with local emergencies.
The Disaster Response Team is not an emergency response team. If there is an emergency, please call 911. Some of the help The Disaster Response Team can provide includes removing fall trees blocking sidewalks or driveways, providing temporary covering of damaged roofs, helping with evacuations, and more.
