Jeff and Channy Rasmussen

Jeff Rasmussen grew up at ALC and followed Jesus into the Mission Field to the country of Cambodia where he has been serving since 2007. He met his wife Channy, and were married in Cambodia before adding their son, Caleb, to their family. They serve with YWAM (Youth With a Mission) in Battambang, Cambodia where they lead an amazing organization called, SALT ACADEMY (Sports And Leadership Training) that provides hope, opportunity and discipleship to at-risk youth in the community. 

SALT uses soccer as a tool to provide hope, healing, opportunity, and a discipleship pathway to at-risk youth in Cambodia. SALT provides a competitive soccer opportunity with the Mighty Girls and Mighty Men soccer teams that provides at-risk youth with a safe community to be part of. Within the context of this community they learn about Jesus, the importance of a team, and develop leadership and life skills as they lead teams and camps in the community. This model serves the community and gives the youth job skills training they can use in their future. This is a life changing ministry that helps to prevent trafficking, poverty, and violence of youth in Cambodia.
