Cambodia Mission 2019

Trip Length: Approximately a 2-week trip 

Dates: June 24-July 6

Cost: Approximately $2000 (including airfare)

Mission Team:

This is a family friendly trip for families traveling with middle school

aged kids and older.

Mission Purpose:

Cambodia is 97% Buddhist. Our missionary, Jeff Rasmussen and

his wife Channy, work to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who do not know

Him. Our goal is to support and encourage them in their work, and also come along

side to multiply his efforts in this area of the world that does not know Jesus.

Mission Plan:

Team will fly into Siem Reap, and drive 3 hours to Battambang where

the team will stay in a hotel approx. 2 miles from the YWAM campus. The team may

assist with the following projects during the trip:

-Building a bathroom for a rural village community that is currently without

bathroom in the entire village. This will promote hygiene and safety in the

village.

-Water Delivery. The team will go Door-to-Door delivering water to homes in

the villages. This is a way to open the door to sharing the Good News of Jesus

to community members.

– Mother’s Journey. * This is a women’s only ministry. Visiting and working

with moms and kids in the slums. Most women are drug users and/or

prostitutes. The focus is on loving and serving these people, and teaching

them how to care for their children. These kids are largely unloved.

– Other projects may include grounds upkeep, discipleship training, assisting

in English classes, and distributing Bibles.
